Nawar Jabbo is an intern that specializes in electoral research and voter reform. He was born and raised in Iraq and later moved to San Diego, California. Currently, he is a pre-law undergraduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) studying Political Science and English. Upon being selected to participate in the UCLA American Politics and Public Policy’s Quarter in Washington Program (CAPPP), he is interning at FairVote to pursue his research interests and learn more about how U.S. voting practices and existing laws have affected the voter turnout in elections across the country. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA, he plans to attend law school and pursue a career in immigration law.
