FairVote Research Intern Alejandro introduces himself and explains his areas of interest
Alejandro Arias-Esparza is a research intern specializing in voting turnout, and voting reform. He was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico and later migrated to the United States. Arias-Esparza is a senior studying Political Science at Wichita State University (WSU), and was selected as one of five students from WSU to participate in the Washington D.C. Internship Program. He is interning at FairVote to further enhance his research abilities, and to expand his knowledge on the topics of his interest. Upon graduating, he plans to pursue a master’s degree in Latin American Studies, focusing on the study of peace through democratization.
