The House of Representatives passed the Voter Choice Act, as an amendment to the Protecting Our Democracy Act. This is a significant milestone for RCV

Yesterday, the Clark County Charter Review Commission voted 11-4 to put ranked-choice voting (RCV) on the 2022 ballot. This makes Clark County the second county in Washington to put RCV on the ballot this year, joining San Juan County. Voters in both counties will have a chance to adopt this better voting method.

The Council of the District of Columbia hosted a public hearing on Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) on November 18, 2021. The hearing gave Washingtonians an opportunity to publicly discuss the Voter Ownership, Integrity, Choice, and Equity Amendment Act of 2021.

This Election Day, three Congressional districts in Florida and Ohio conducted special elections to fill vacancies from legislators who were no longer filling their position. These elections would have been improved with ranked choice voting (RCV). Ranked choice voting eliminates the need for primaries and ensures winners have a mandate to govern their districts.
