Show Love For RCV Day Is Here!

Happy Valentine's Day! Let's take some time out to show love for RCV by contacting your state representatives to let them know why you support RCV.

Progress for RCV has always come directly from individuals at the local level. Eleven cities are already using RCV because people sent letters, made phone calls, or simply had conversations with friends and neighbors about how RCV could improve their democracy. Remember, that your story and the reasons you support RCV are the keys to legislators taking action. We have provided you with resources to help you with these conversations but feel encouraged to make it your own!

Currently, RCV legislation has been introduced in 13 states. If your state hasn't introduced legislation, you can call your representatives and tell them why you think RCV is the way to go, or you can adapt this letter and email it to their office.

For those of you in states where legislation has already been introduced, here are the resources you need to reach out to your elected officials and show some love!

Arizona - SB1367 - Find your Representatives here. Give them a call or email this letter of support.
Hawaii - HB 136, HB 179, HB 824, and HB 2444 - Find your Representatives here. Give them a call or email this letter of support.
Indiana - SB 0400 - Find your Representatives here. Give them a call or email this letter of support.
Maryland - HB 173 - Find your Representatives here. Give them a call or email this letter of support.
Massachusetts* - H 2897/S 380 and S 377 - Unfortunately, these bills missed the deadline to move out of their committee, however, you can find your representative here and you can still give them a call or send them this letter of support to encourage them to be a sponsor or supporter of RCV legislation next session.
Missouri - HB 1346 - Find your Representatives here. Give them a call or email this letter of support.
New Hampshire**- HB 1540 - Unfortunately, this bill was voted down by it's committee, however, you can find your representative here and you can still give them a call or send them this letter of support to encourage them to be a sponsor or supporter of RCV legislation next session.
New Jersey - NJ A1801 - Find your Representatives here. Give them a call or email this letter of support.
New York - S05616/A08613, S05605, S3309, and S04110 - Find your Representatives here. Give them a call or email this letter of support.
Utah - HB 0035 - Fine your Representatives here and give them a call!
