Paul Murphy

Paul Murphy joined FairVote inspired by learning about proportional representation and multi member districts at his university as well as other forms of electoral reform through the organization itself and various credible articles written about the topic. As a current undergraduate student at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., Paul Murphy has been heavily involved with The Tower student newspaper, student government, and Model United Nations while studying for his major in political science and minor in media studies. His previous internship experiences include a countywide race in Los Angeles, a congressional race in the San Diego metro area, and remotely organizing voter registration drives as well as Get Out the Vote efforts on his own campus for a non-partisan non-profit based in Boston. Born and raised in Southern California, Paul Murphy likes to relax, hang out with friends, and browse online for current events in the world.
