Maryland and Vermont Move Universal Voter Registration Bills Forward

Maryland's House of Delegates passed a “universal” voter registration bill on Monday to automatically register residents who apply for services at the Motor Vehicle Administration and certain social agencies such as the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange. Just two weeks ago Vermont's House of Representatives unanimously passed a bill that would automatically register Vermonters that applied for a driver's license.
