Jamie Solomon is a research intern for RepresentWomen this summer. A rising sophomore at Brown University, she hopes to major in History with a concentration in Law and Society. Her classes on indigenous peoples and American law, Ottoman law administration, and the history of capitalism have been particularly inspiring because of their universal and timeless emphasis on the importance of those intersections between gender, race, and representation. Outside of class, Solomon writes for the U.S. section of the Brown Political Review as well as for the satirical newspaper, the Brown Noser. She also volunteers in a bilingual classroom tutoring English.
