- 6:30 to 7:30 - VIP Cocktail Reception: Enjoy cocktails and engaging conversation with Hendrik Hertzberg of The New Yorker, Krist Novoselic of Nirvana and the rest of our illustrious host committee.
- 7:30 to 9:30 - 15th Anniversary Banquet: Dine on the culinary creations of B. Smith's chefs, while hearing remarks from past and present champions of democracy (see speakers list). FairVote Chair John Anderson will be our guest of honor, along with the winner of our Upgrade Democracy video contest.
About the Venue: B. Smith's at Union Station features a combination of Cajun, Creole and Southern cuisine. Located in Washington, DC's Historic Union Station, B. Smith's grand Beaux Arts style dining room with its 30-foot ceilings, period chandeliers and turn of the century elegance, is a national landmark and has been called one of the most beautiful dining rooms in America.
