The Ferguson-Florissant school board has appealed the judge’s order. While this remedy of cumulative voting could be an improvement on the existing elections, using ranked choice voting instead could better protect both the diversity and the competitiveness of Ferguson’s elections. We previously covered the case's outcome here, and will continue to cover the case as it moves forward.
