Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator, has awarded FairVote its second consecutive 4-star rating. Nonprofits receive this designation when they adhere to nonprofit best practices and execute our mission in a financially efficient way. Check out our profile on Charity Navigator today to learn more about our programs, finances, and accountability measures to all the supporters and donors we serve.
Because of its phenomenal reputation in the field, Charity Navigator’s confidence sets FairVote apart from our peers and demonstrates our financial security and trustworthiness as an organization.
“Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that FairVote exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work,” wrote Michael Thatcher, president and CEO of Charity Navigator.
Charity Navigator’s newly released rating uses data from 2016’s fiscal year, so FairVote’s executive and development team is currently working to ensure that we continue leading the nonprofit field in accountability, transparency and financial security. Right now, we are on the right track, as we have gained hundreds of new donors in recent months and build an electoral reform movement across the country in new states like Virginia, Colorado and California.
During the past two years, the interest and funding for FairVote’s work to implement electoral reforms, such as ranked choice voting, has dramatically increased, and we believe this is due to the urgent need felt by countless Americans to fix our democracy today. The time is now!
