In Oregon, the other heated Democratic primary contest is further down on the ballot between the Secretary of State candidates. Right now, Kate Brown, who is the majority leader of the state senate has raised more money and garnered more endorsements than her challengers. Tomorrow we will find out if “more money and more endorsements” translates into more votes.
The other Democratic candidates are Senator Rick Metsger – who worked for years as an investigative reporter, Paul Damian Wells – a voting rights advocate and Vicki Walker – a former state representative. Republican candidate Rick Dancer, a former news anchor is running unopposed.
