Alex Ault

Alex Ault is the Law and Policy Intern with FairVote. He attends the University of Michigan Law School, and holds board positions on the student chapters of the American Constitution Society and the Michigan Election Law Project.

Prior to law school, Alex was the associate director of operations for the Center for American Progress, where he worked to support progressive policy goals, including lowering and eliminating barriers to voting. Alex also worked for the Every Citizen Counts project, where he researched, monitored and tracked changes in election law in seven high profile battleground states in anticipation of boosting voter registration and turnout in the 2016 presidential election. Alex has experience working in Missouri’s Office of the Governor, as well as on statewide political campaigns in Iowa and Missouri where he planned Get Out the Vote efforts and encouraged the use of voting by mail and absentee voting. Alex is a fan of Americana music and has been described as “hopelessly Midwestern.” He is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Saint Louis University in 2012.
